■ゴリラ、シロアリ、宇宙、アフリカ、古代ローマ――2050年の社会課題の突破口を、京大の多様な知性と日立の未来社会研究が融合し探究!

■京都大学と日立製作所により「ヒトと文化の理解に基づく基礎と学理の探究」のため設立された日立京大ラボが、人口減少やシンギュラリティといった社会的課題解決に、本源を問う「大学の知」がどのように役立つかを探索するユニークなプロジェクトの成果をまとめる。

■継続的な京都大学の先生との対話から、2050年の日本が抱える社会課題(3つの喪失:信じるものがなくなる/頼るものがなくなる/やることがなくなる)を解決するヒントを、「不思議や未知なるものにわくわくする心」や「主体的に課題を問い、解決する力」と仮定。それらのヒントをベースに、「市民参加型の社会システムや社会インフラを構築すること」や「便利すぎない未完成な社会を許容し、多様な人財が社会貢献できる余白をつくること」といった将来に向けて大切にしたいことを提言する
